Become A Delegate

Are you a Wenatchee Valley resident? This is your invitation to apply for a unique experience as a Sister City delegate! You’ll visit Tokyo and Misawa, immerse yourself in Japanese culture, participate in the Misawa City parade and celebrations, stay with a host family, and represent the Wenatchee Valley. Although we’ve recently traveled later in the year and not always during the summer festival, we participate in other local festivals and events when possible. Each delegation includes local dignitaries, Apple Blossom Festival Royalty, business leaders, teachers, and student ambassadors. The trip typically includes 1-2 days in Tokyo and 5-6 days in Misawa. The approximate cost is $2,600 per delegate (subject to change annually). Applications for student ambassadors are open to current 7th-12th grade students from Wenatchee and East Wenatchee schools.
